Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required.
• Certified teacher of Computer Science is required.
• Strong working knowledge of the AP Computer Science curriculum (Java/programming fundamentals, or AP CS Principles concepts).
• Prior experience tutoring or teaching AP-level students preferred.
• Reliable technology and internet for virtual instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality AP Computer Science tutoring in a virtual, one-on-one setting.
• Personalize instruction using assessments and student progress data.
• Build supportive relationships that motivate students and foster confidence in problem-solving.
• Teach topics including programming fundamentals (Java or Python), algorithms, data structures, computational thinking, and AP CS course content (A or Principles).
• Support exam preparation, coding projects, and real-world application problems.
