The Virtual Account Representative will manage existing business through proactive engagement within an assigned customer base, achieving their sales quota.

What you’ll do:

  1. Conduct sales calls via phone, email, or video chat with potential customers.
  2. Secure existing business through the collection of repeat orders.
  3. Establish relationships to identify business challenges and present findings to the appropriate sales channel based on potential.
  4. Manage sales opportunities using Salesforce.com.
  5. Ensure customers have competitive pricing to secure existing business and gather information on additional product opportunities.
  6. Use knowledge of the customer's business needs and Univar’s channel strategy to identify growth opportunities and facilitate account transfer to the appropriate sales channel, ensuring long-term success and customer satisfaction.
  7. Collaborate with customers by providing solutions to Univar’s self-servicing options.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with 1+ year of sales experience in a B2B environment.
  • Food or Pharma chemical ingredient experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop successful business relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills to uncover needs, overcome objections, and provide suitable products or services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com.
