Job summary

Qualifications

• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory License as a Laboratory Technician (Microbiology or Public Health Microbiology).
• Knowledge of terminology, principles and techniques used in laboratory analysis and testing.
• Skill in the use of laboratory equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical molecular and serology testing in the Virology department.
• Prepares and processes complex assays on clinical and animal specimens.
• Prepares reagents and media, conducts quality assurance procedures.
• Analyzes and reports test results, reporting directly to the Virology Supervisor.

Education

Florida Clinical Laboratory License as Laboratory Technician (Microbiology or Public Health Microbiology)
