Job summary

Janssen Pharmaceuticals in Spring House, PA is seeking a hands-on Scientist to support analytical testing and characterization of viral vectors in a high-throughput lab. You will perform DNA/RNA extraction and molecular assays, including ddPCR and qPCR, to support vector development programs.

The ideal candidate has experience with viral vectors and small-scale R&D, and will contribute to cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years industry experience.
• Chromatography experience using the AKTA equipment.
• Viral vector experience (Lenti, AAV, or similar) and high-throughput environments.
• Small scale (R&D, pilot, discovery) experience (ideally 1L to 2L).

Responsibilities

• Perform DNA and RNA extraction, purification, and quantification from diverse sample types.
• Execute and analyze molecular assays including ddPCR, RT-ddPCR, and qPCR.
• Support viral vector characterization and analytical testing activities.
• Process large sample volumes in a high-throughput laboratory setting.
• Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
