Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Vascular Interventional Radiology Unit (VIR) in Albany, NY. The Day shift offers opportunities to work with complex interventional procedures and peri-procedural care.

Responsibilities include sedation administration, hemodynamic monitoring, phase 1 anesthesia recovery, central venous access, and collaboration with the nursing team to implement plans of care. NY RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Peri-procedural nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients.
• Administration of conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Phase 1 anesthesia recovery for pediatric and adult patients.
• Use and access to central venous devices.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications, starts IVs, and documents treatments.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess patient condition.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to plan care and outcomes.
• Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses as needed.

Telemetry/ICU experience

ACLS/PALS preferred

Education

NYS RN license (required)
