Job description

Job type: Part-time.

Location: Danville City County, VA. Salary: $24.00-$30.00.

Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned Ambulances are checked and ready for service.
• Check all engine fluids.
• Check all lights for proper working order.
• Verify all EMS equipment is on the assigned units.
• Ensure drug/fluid boxes are in date and on the Ambulance.
• Respond to all incidents on and off the track as needed.
• Treat patients and assist drivers in exiting vehicles.
• Have a good knowledge of power kill switches and onboard extinguisher systems on race vehicles.
• Transport the sick and injured.
• Use extrication tools to remove injured drivers.
• Call for medevac if needed.
• Keep units clean at all times, including the inside of the front and rear of the Ambulance.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of extrication tools.
• Completion of an Emergency Vehicle Operation Course.
• CPR Certified.
• EMT/Medic State of Virginia Certification.
• Valid driver license.
• Background check required.
• Drug test may be requested.
