Job summary

Montage International, home to Pendry, is seeking a VIP Host/Hostess for part-time weekend evenings in Newport Beach, CA. You will greet guests, manage seating, and build relationships with luxury guests while coordinating reservations and guest flow to minimize wait times.

The role emphasizes outstanding guest service, teamwork, and the ability to handle high volumes while ensuring a memorable, seamless dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a positive and professional manner.
• Identify luxury resort guests and direct them to private social club when Pendry is busy.
• Build relationships with Elwood Members and manage reservations and seating arrangements.
• Escort guests to tables, provide menus, and ensure timely seating.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests professionally.
• Manage reservations including new bookings, confirmations, cancellations, and seating charts updates.
• Collaborate with management, bartenders, and service staff to deliver WOW moments.

Your Journey

Working Friday and Saturday evenings

• Greet and welcome guests in a positive and professional manner
• Identifying our Luxury resort guests and directing them to private social club when Bar Pendry is busy.
• Build relationships with Elwood Members
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of space and minimize wait times.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, ensuring that they are seated in a timely and courteous manner.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a professional and efficient manner
• Managing reservations including new reservations, confirmations, cancelations and updating seating charts
• Work as a team and effectively communicating with management, bartenders, and service staff
• Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs

Must Haves

• Ability to work weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over
• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds on a semi-regular basis

The pay scale* for the VIP Host role is $20.00. *The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
