Job summary

Montage International is seeking a Lead Bartender for Pendry Bar in a luxury hotel setting. You will lead the team, train new associates, and craft exceptional cocktails while ensuring top-level guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include interacting with guests, upselling, maintaining bar standards, and contributing to menu development. Prior micros or other POS experience is preferred; weekend availability is required. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• One year minimum of bartending experience.
• Experience with Micros or other POS systems.
• Luxury hotel experience is a plus.
• Able to communicate effectively and provide exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading the bar team, training new associates and supporting day-to-day operations.
• Interact one-on-one with guests, take orders, mix cocktails, upsell and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the bar and stock supplies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of beverages and menu items, and contribute to new drink menus.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies.
• Collaborate with management, bartenders and service staff.
• Deliver on guests' expectations and create WOW moments.
• Perform additional duties as needed by business needs.

• Assist with leading the team, training new associates and supporting the day-to-day operations
• Interact one on one with guests, take orders, make cocktails, upsell, ensure guest satisfaction and anticipate guest needs
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar, stocking with appropriate products and supplies
• Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and any menu items offered while maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the bar
• Assist with planning and developing new drink menus and cocktail recipes
• Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies
• Work as a team and effectively communicating with management, bartenders, and service staff
• Deliver on guests' expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs

Must Haves

• One year minimum of experience in bartending
• Prior micros or other systems experience
• Luxury hotel experience, a plus

Physical Requirements

• Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over
• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis

The pay scale for Lead Bartender, Bar Pendry (Full-time) is $18.00 per hour. The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
