Job summary

COMLUX AMERICA is seeking a SolidWorks Design Engineer to independently develop and support engineering designs for VIP aircraft interior completion, refurbishment, and STC projects in Indianapolis. You will apply advanced engineering principles to certifiable interior, structural, mechanical, and systems modifications, ensuring FAA/EASA compliance.

You will create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, perform analyses, develop compliance documentation, and coordinate with Production,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in aviation-related engineering.
• 0–5 years of aviation design experience preferred.
• Experience with interior completion projects or modifications is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop engineering designs for VIP interiors and STC projects.
• Create, review, and approve 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Perform engineering analyses and substantiation for interiors and structures.
• Prepare compliance documentation and installation instructions.
• Coordinate with Production, Certification, Quality, and suppliers.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
