Job summary

Comlux America, a VIP aircraft interior completion and refurbishment center in Indianapolis, seeks a SolidWorks Design Engineer to create certifiable interior, structural, and systems modifications for VIP aircraft projects. You will interact with FAA/EASA and DOA/DER personnel as required and prepare certification data packages.

The role supports engineering leadership, coordinating with Production, Certification, and Quality teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure regulatory compliance and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical or related engineering field or 5 years’ aviation design experience.
Experience in interior completions, STC development, or transport category certification.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

Independently develop engineering designs for VIP interior completions, refurbishments, modifications, and STC projects.
Create, review, and approve 2D drawings and 3D CAD models per standards.
Perform engineering analysis and substantiate interior furnishings and structures.
