Job description

Overview

A growing music school with two locations is seeking qualified Violin and Piano teachers for in-person lessons on Tuesdays plus additional weekdays and/or Saturdays. We are looking for highly qualified and versatile instructors to join our team of effective and caring music educators.

Responsibilities

• Teach violin and piano in person on site, in one-on-one lessons, and assist with a beginning concert band group class as needed.
• Maintain consistency in scheduling to support student growth and success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or greater in a related field.
• Previous teaching experience is a plus.
• Ability to teach to the individual while still meeting set goals for each student.
• Good people skills; works well with both children and adults and enjoys building client relationships.
• Timely and reliable; consistent attendance is important to student growth.
• Good time management skills.
• Positive attitude during instruction and the ability to encourage and motivate students.
• Desire to collaborate with a team to create a high-quality, fun music education environment.
• Must love teaching; the desire to make teaching your career is a big plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• Part-time employees with an hourly rate of $28.00–$32.50; opportunity to discuss a raise in January.
