Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Team Lead for community violence prevention and IPV prevention specialists. You will oversee case management, represent the program in hospital and community settings, advocate for clients, and coordinate services across systems to victims of violence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sociology, psychology, social work or related field required.
• Two years in leadership or supervisory role required.
• Five years in community outreach, health case management, community violence intervention, social services, or direct client services required.
• Master’s degree preferred; LCSW-C preferred; background in substance abuse, traumatic stress, motivational interviewing, and/or violence prevention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Violence Prevention specialists and provide mentorship.
• Represent the program in hospital and community settings.
• Maintain staffing schedule for 7 days per week coverage.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and document client progress.
• Perform data analysis and program evaluation for the Violence Prevention Program.
• Facilitate weekly peer support group.
• Engage community partners and participate in events and planning.
