Job summary

KMC Stampings, a premier metal fabricator in Milwaukee, seeks a Vinyl Machine Operator to join our full-time manufacturing team. You will operate the vinyl coating machine, package parts, and handle materials with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Under supervision, you’ll gain hands-on training in machinery, tooling, and safety while contributing to a safe, productive work environment and meeting daily production goals. Overtime may be required based on line needs.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate the vinyl coating machine.
• Sort and package parts; verify quantity and quality of material.
• Move raw material to and from production areas; complete paperwork.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with safety policies.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under the direction of the Plant Supervisor, the Machine Operator operates the vinyl machine to vinyl coat parts. Includes packaging parts and material handling. Responsible for part quality and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set-up, adjust, and operate machine to vinyl coat parts

• Sorting and packaging parts
• Verify quantity & quality of material
• Moves raw material to and from production areas as necessary
• Complete & maintain all required paperwork
• Employees are held accountable for all duties of the job
• Responsible for strict adherence to all company/departmental/safety policies
• Maintains a safe & clean work environment & departmental housekeeping standards
• Other duties as assigned or required

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

Requires 3-6 months of relevant manufacturing experience

• Regular attendance is required; punctual, dependable
• Strong attention to detail
• Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls
• Vision abilities; occasionally required to sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch
• Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor
• Ability to work overtime when required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to sit and talk or hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
