Job summary

AMV Experience, LLC (Afton Mountain Vineyards) in Afton, VA is seeking a Farmworker to manage day-to-day vineyard operations under the winemaker's supervision. The role includes pruning, canopy management, thinning, trellis work, and moving fruit from field to processing areas.

The job requires outdoor endurance, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and hands-on pruning and maintenance of irrigation and field equipment. 40-hour week, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience required: 3+ months in related field.
• Ability to diagnose problems and resolve tasks.
• Work is outdoors in open fields and exposed to elements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day vineyard operations under supervision of Winemaker.
• Perform pruning, canopy management, thinning, and trellis work as season permits.
• Move harvested fruit from field to processing area and assist in post-harvest tasks.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain sanitation throughout the vineyard.
