Job summary

Ellwood Quality Steels Company, located in New Castle, Pennsylvania, is looking for a VIM Setup Operator to support the raw material bay. The role includes setting up the VIM furnace for melting operations and performing basic maintenance while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience in steel manufacturing environment preferred.
• Remote crane operation experience preferred.
• Remelt department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall support of raw material bay and inventory tracking.
• Set up and prepare the VIM furnace for melting operations.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the VIM furnace.
• Assist in operation of the furnace, including loading primary charge.
• Operate cranes, hoists, and forklifts for material transport.
