Overview
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP hires an HR Systems Analyst to coordinate and manage the Firm’s human resource information systems, ensuring end user productivity and efficiency. The Analyst reports to the Senior Manager of HR Systems and Analytics and supports the HR function through analysis, configuration, report development, process re‑engineering, testing and training.
Responsibilities
- Consult with HR department teams to evaluate business needs and provide technology solutions, including workflow analysis and process design.
- Recommend, configure, and implement innovative business system processes and procedures to improve efficiency, considering system capabilities, capacity, and operating time.
- Conduct process design, gap analysis, functional system design, and system configuration for HRIS initiatives.
- Provide overall project management for select HRIS initiatives.
- Plan, pre‑configure, and support the performance evaluation application (viEval) for attorneys and legal staff.
- Evaluate system functionality versus business needs and recommend or implement application solutions or alternatives.
- Work with IT to develop and implement new or enhanced technology, including interfaces, vendor arrangements, and system integration; manage service and support.
- Prepare test plans and scripts, execute user acceptance testing, and provide training and documentation.
- Assist with software implementation and upgrades as necessary.
- Serve as viEval System Administrator and provide end‑user support and training.
- Administer and support the evaluation application and design/produce complex ad‑hoc reports using advanced query techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- Minimum 5 years of related HRIS and viEval experience in a professional services industry.
- Proficiency in Aderant viDesktop or viEval; Workday HCM preferred.
- Experience with SQL, MS‑Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), iManage, Adobe Reader, Visio, and MS‑Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail.
- Effective problem‑solving, time‑management, and independent decision‑making.
- Demonstrated ability to set delivery commitments, meet expectations, adapt, and learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to manage multiple high‑priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
