Talent Acquisition Supervisor at AMN Healthcare

Provide effective video remote interpreting services for consumers. While this position is primarily video interpreting, there may be occasional audio calls. Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by AMN Language Services. Always exhibit professional behavior, including regular attendance, punctuality, preparedness for shifts, respectful and collaborative interaction with colleagues and supervisors, and timely and accurate record keeping. Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to new and changing technologies. Complete video and platform training and pass the internal readiness check before taking live calls. Participate in ongoing quality assurance and call monitoring programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Fluent in both source and target languages with strong verbal communication skills
  • Successful completion of a medical language proficiency assessment focused on interpreter protocols and medical terminology
  • Respect for and understanding of LEP clients, including their culture, dialect, beliefs, and healthcare preferences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of professional US-based medical interpreting experience
  • National interpreting certification (CCHI or CMI)
  • Degrees or certifications in interpreting practices
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Interpreting Training course (e.g., ALTA, MITS, Bridging the Gap, MiTio, Cross-Cultural training, 40-hour courses)
  • Extensive knowledge of ethical standards and practice guidelines (IMIA, NBCMI, NCIHC)
  • Familiarity with medical privacy laws (HIPAA) and other relevant federal and state laws

Home Office Requirements:

  • Private room with full-length (floor to ceiling) walls
  • Door that can be closed and locked for privacy
  • Hardwired high-speed internet connection

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Use of an on-ear headset for the entire shift
  • Use of a web camera for interactions in medical scenarios
  • Visual abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Occasional lifting/moving up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to walk, sit, handle objects, reach, stoop, talk, and hear

Job Type:

Part-time (fixed schedule between 20–28 hours per week)

Pay Scale:

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour* (subject to experience, training, education, and location; rates may vary)
