Job summary

HoYoverse in the United States is seeking a localization specialist fluent in Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese to manage in-game and marketing content localization. You will coordinate cross‑team collaboration, perform linguistic quality assurance, and support localization testing to ensure cultural relevance and accuracy.

The role requires strong copy direction, content creation for promotions, and an eagerness to engage with anime, manga, and gaming communities.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese; native proficiency a plus; capable of Chinese-to-Vietnamese localization (translation, proofreading, MTPE, LQA) for in-game and out-of-game content.
• Bachelor's degree or above.
• Passionate about anime, manga, and gaming culture with strong knowledge of game genres.

Responsibilities

• Provide language support for HoYoverse titles across markets, including localization of content and live operations.
• Conduct localization testing to ensure quality and accuracy of localized content.
• Coordinate communication within teams; document, report, and follow up on localization issues to ensure resolution.
• Monitor player issues and feedback to improve the game for local language and culture.
• Support planning and execution of online and offline game events, contributing to game community development.
• Develop creative concepts and content for marketing and promotional initiatives.

Responsibilities

1. Provide language support for HoYoverse titles across multiple markets, covering game and manga localization as well as day‑to‑day live operations.
2. Conduct localization testing to ensure the quality and accuracy of localized content as presented in-game.
3. Coordinate communication within the team and across departments; collect, document, report, and follow up on localization‑related issues to ensure they are resolved.
4. Monitor player issues and feedback, and help improve the game based on an understanding of local language and culture.
5. Support the planning and execution of online and offline game events, and contribute to game community development.
6. Develop creative concepts and produce content for various marketing and promotional initiatives.

Requirements

1. Fluent in Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese. Native proficiency in either or both languages is a plus. Able to handle Chinese‑to‑Vietnamese localization, including translation, proofreading, MTPE (machine translation post‑editing), and LQA (linguistic quality assurance) for in‑game and out‑of‑game content. Project management experience is a plus.
2. Bachelor's degree or above.
3. Passionate about anime, manga, and gaming culture, with extensive gaming experience and a strong understanding of the writing styles and conventions of different game genres. Familiarity with and enthusiasm for HoYoverse titles is a plus.
4. Familiar with local players, particularly the preferences and behaviors of anime and manga fans.
5. Creative and full of ideas, with the ability to develop and produce engaging content for various game marketing and promotional initiatives.
6. Excellent information research, extraction, and synthesis skills, as well as the ability to learn new things quickly.
7. Strong teamwork, communication, and execution skills. Detail‑oriented, responsible, and highly self‑motivated.
