Overview

Air Liquide Large Industries provides customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S., supplying oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and syngas in large quantities to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and production facilities are monitored 24/7 within a leading‑edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. We continuously optimize our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies, enabling Air Liquide to adjust supply needs quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

The Strategic Operations team of ALLIUS is responsible for tactical midterm product supply and pipeline planning, as well as long‑term product supply assurance. This includes the strategic development and planning for capacity and demand changes throughout the ALLI‑NAM network, initiation, development and completion of assurance studies, and communication of results, risks and recommendations to the business from conception through implementation.

Collaboration will involve 7‑10 main team members across the LI Operations team at the Head Office (Houston, TX), interacting with the Strategic Operations team, the SIO Technical Resource team, and the OCC Planning team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Data Science | Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Data Science

Required Skills
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++, etc.)
  • Strong data analytics skills
  • Strong critical thinking, able to conceptualize high‑level understanding into detailed solutions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high‑quality documents and make presentations on project status
Nice to Have
  • Foundation in Machine Learning and Deep Learning frameworks
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques and AI as a tool for data analytics
  • Project management & coordination experience
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization

Position Details

Position based in HOUSTON, TX, USA for an initial period of 18 months (not extendable).
