Job summary

Gray Media's Western Mass News is seeking a passionate editor/photojournalist to join our award-winning news team in Springfield. You will work in a fast-paced newsroom with non-linear editing systems, capturing powerful video and audio for all WMN platforms.

The role requires 1–2 years of TV editing/photography experience, flexibility to work varied shifts, and the ability to gather news independently or as part of a team. A valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a television editor/photographer or related internships.
• Flexible work hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, holidays, weekends.
• Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit video and sound for WMN multimedia platforms.
• Demonstrate competence in videography and editing.
• Gather news as part of a team or on your own.
• Maintain assigned gear and live devices (LiveU).
• Drive a company vehicle and perform related duties.

Job Summary/Description:

Western Mass News is looking for a passionate and visual editor/photojournalist to join our award-winning news team. The candidate must be able to work in a highly functioning, experienced, talented newsroom. Must have experience with non-linear equipment and have an ability to function in a deadline environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed. If you have an eye for powerful pictures and an ear for great sound, this is the job for you.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• * Shooting and editing video and sound for all WMN multimedia platforms
• * Must display competence in videography and video editing
• * Must be capable of gathering news as part of a team or on your own
• * Responsible for maintaining assigned gear and live devices (Live U)
• * Driving a company vehicle and any other duties as assigned.

• * Flexible work hours required; must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends, and possible overtime hours.
