Planet is seeking a storyteller to shape narrative arcs for videos across explainers, customer stories, and campaigns. You will refine pacing and tone through editorial craft and bring ideas to life in multiple formats.

In a close-knit Creative Core team, you’ll collaborate with designers, producers, and writers to communicate complex ideas with clarity, while exploring AI-driven workflows and new formats. The role is full-time, hybrid, with a San Francisco office requirement three days per week.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience in video production or related fields.
• Experience writing or co-writing scripts, outlines, and interview-based narratives.
• Portfolio showcasing storytelling, pacing, and editorial craft across formats/durations.
• Experience with AI-first video workflows (voice generation, script-to-video, captioning).
• Production experience: cameras, lighting, directing talent, or overseeing shoots.
• Experience with DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Curiosity to explore new formats and creative techniques.
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional creative teams.
• Knowledge of visual storytelling principles, sound design, pacing, and emotional resonance.

Responsibilities

About The Role

The Creative Core team in Marketing crafts simple, high-impact, human experiences that reflect our people and products. We are looking for a storyteller who can help shape the narrative arc of our videos, refine pacing and tone through editorial craft, and bring ideas to life across a range of formats.

We work as a close-knit team, collaborating with external agencies and cross-company creative partners. Our focus is on a consistent, impactful, and clear creative narrative. The Creative Core team is responsible for bringing our stories to life through video and narrative storytelling. Video is an essential part of how we connect to our audience—whether explaining a new product, capturing a customer story, or showcasing the craft behind our technology.

This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our San Francisco office 3 days per week.

Impact You'll Own

• Develop editorial narratives across product explainers, customer stories, sizzles, and brand campaigns

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is listed below. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location. The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

San Francisco Salary Range

$71,300—$89,100 USD
