Role Description

The Videographer is a full-time, on-site role based in Hudsonville, MI. This position is responsible for planning, filming, and editing video content that captures training sessions, player development, clinics, and events, aligning with TCF Hoops’ mission and brand. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and operating cameras and lighting equipment, recording high-quality footage, organizing and backing up media files, and editing videos for social media, marketing, and educational use. The Videographer will collaborate closely with coaching staff to understand training concepts, highlight key teaching moments, and create compelling story-driven content that engages athletes, families, and the wider community. The role also involves maintaining equipment, managing project timelines, and contributing creative ideas to improve video storytelling and online presence.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Video Production, including planning shoots, capturing footage, and post-production workflows.
• Proficient Camera Operation, including use of various Camera systems and Shooting Video in different environments (indoor gyms, outdoor courts).
• Experience with Lighting, including setting up and adjusting lights for clear, consistent, and professional-looking footage.
• Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and basic audio editing.
• Ability to translate basketball training concepts into clear, engaging visual stories; interest in sports or basketball is highly beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills, including file management, project tracking, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with coaches, athletes, and staff in a respectful, team-oriented manner.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for practices, games, and special events.
• Prior experience in sports videography or content creation is a plus; portfolio or demo reel demonstrating relevant work is highly preferred.
