Job summary

Jobtailor in Boston is seeking a motivated videographer to support production of marketing and brand video content. You will assist with shoots, operate cameras, light scenes, and capture high-quality audio on location.

You will organize footage, edit content, and deliver exports while syncing audio, creating selects, and adding basic graphics. Collaboration with the production team and adapting videos for multiple platforms is required.

Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years of videography/video production experience.
  • Experience with camera operation, lighting, and on-location audio.

Job description

  • Assist with shoot preparation, camera operation, lighting, audio recording, equipment setup, location needs, and general on-set support for marketing and brand video content
  • Organize footage and edit video content
  • Sync and clean up audio, create selects, basic graphics, motion elements, and final video exports
  • Help ensure content aligns with brand standards
  • Adapt video for YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, web, and internal channels
  • Bring fresh ideas, current production techniques, visual references, and new approaches
  • Help maintain production gear
  • Organize project files and manage footage, audio, graphics, and exports
  • Collaborate with the Senior Videographer in Boston and the wider production team
  • Produce interviews, product demos, customer stories, social content, events, internal videos, and behind-the-scenes footage
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1–2+ years of experience in videography, video production, editing, freelance work, internships, or related creative production
  • Working knowledge of camera operation, composition, lighting, basic cinematography, production workflows, and on-location audio recording
  • Experience with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and/or DaVinci Resolve
  • Basic experience with audio post-production, motion graphics, animation, photography, or drone operation is a plus
  • Creative, curious, collaborative, organized, and comfortable taking direction while bringing ideas to the team
  • A reel, portfolio, or work samples are strongly preferred
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT, is unavailable
  • For hybrid positions, reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection and a suitable home workspace are required
