A Videographer is essential in documenting and showcasing a memorable summer at 6 Points Sports Academy. Videographers work on the communications team and spend most of their time with a camera creating and editing content. Videographers are key members of our summer staff putting forth creations, short and long form, for our camp community to enjoy during the summer and year round. Videographers must be familiar and support the mission of 6 Points Sports Academy and act in accordance with this mission. We want our Videographers in the fields, engaging with campers, as they capture the everyday beauty at Jewish, Sports, Camp.
Key Responsibilities
- Film Sport Majors, Electives, Special Events
- Utilize camera and prior experience to judge and capture moments focusing on camp community
- Confirm daily schedule assignments and prepare needed resources with the communications team leadership and teammates
- Intentionally capture camp population being mindful of boundaries while filming
- Content Management & Editing:
- Upload and edit content for short or long form video needs to share with the rest of the communications team
- Create short or long form videos highlighting day‑to‑day camp life, special events, and a weekly recap of camp
- Share daily videos through designated camp platforms such as social media and weekly videos during Saturday night camp event
- Camp Engagement & Modeling:
- Relate with campers and staff throughout the day, building rapport with the camp community while capturing camp life
- Awareness of impact as a role model following required camp policies and values while working on staff
- Join the camp community and participate around staff community moments such as Friday night Oneg (end‑of‑week staff appreciation and staff update), Shabbat, and more
- Work collaboratively with fellow teammates and leadership to enhance the overall camp experience for yourself and the camp community, knowing emergency procedures for situations that may arise
Compensation
$2,000- 3,000
Requirements
- Experience and comfortability utilizing video equipment to capture short or long form videos
- Well versed in video editing applications such as, and not limited to, CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro
- Prior knowledge and portfolio of short or long form videos designed for social media use on websites or apps such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook
- Ability to manage multiple projects with quick deadlines while working with teammates in a respectful manner contributing positively to the team culture
