Job description

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Video Systems Programmer to join our team in Springfield, VA .

In this role, you will be responsible for programming, testing and support of complex Audio/Video (A/V) systems in a variety of customer environments. The successful candidate will have a history of designing functional, intuitive interfaces which enable the customer to control complex systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Read and interpret A/V systems drawings and specifications.
  2. Develop code for integrating systems including, but not limited to, Extron, HP/Poly and Cisco.
  3. Collaborate with video engineering team to ensure programmed solutions meet customer expectations.
  4. Responsible for organizing, maintaining, and archiving all project-related code, graphic touch panel layouts and programs.
  5. Complete training programs from manufacturers, industry associations, and company as required.
  6. Participate in complex system design reviews where input is encouraged.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree and 2 or more years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 6 or more years.
  2. Familiarity with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) design and configuration.
  3. Experience with control systems, videoconferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup and calibration.
  4. Strong customer service, organizational, communication, and written skills due to variety of groups to be working with, such as co-workers, management, and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite.
  6. Willingness to travel locally, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or Extron Certifications.
  2. Experience with Python programming & ServiceNow Project Management.
  3. Ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to quickly learn new skills while on the job.

Clearance Requirements:

Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers.

Hours of coverage:

Individual shift may vary, but you will be a member of a team that provides coverage from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
