Job summary

Planet, a space and data company, seeks a storyteller for the Creative Core team in Marketing. You will shape narratives across product explainers, customer stories, and brand campaigns, guiding videos from concept to final polish as part of a hybrid, San Francisco-based team.

You will collaborate with designers, producers, and writers, bring AI-driven workflows into play, and help communicate complex ideas with clarity across formats.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience in video production or related fields.
• Experience writing or co-writing scripts, outlines, and interview-based narratives.
• Portfolio showing storytelling, pacing, and editorial craft across formats.
• Experience with AI-first video workflows and captioning tools.
• Production experience: cameras, lighting, directing talent, or overseeing shoots.
• Experience with DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Interest in emerging technologies and collaboration within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop editorial narratives across product explainers, customer stories, sizzles, and brand campaigns.
• Own end-to-end video editing process: narrative arc, rough cut, final polish, color, audio, and versioning.
• Storyboard and script videos with designers, producers, and writers for clarity.
• Incorporate motion design and assets to enhance narrative and brand consistency.
• Participate in reviews and guide video and content direction.
• Drive storytelling experiments using AI video and voice technologies.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and revisions across projects.
