Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Access Control and Video Security Installation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our security solutions department, you will be responsible for the installation, setup, and configuration of access control systems and video security cameras. The ideal candidate will possess hands‑on technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and Setup

• Install and configure access control systems and video security cameras at client sites.
• Ensure that installations comply with industry standards and client specifications.

System Integration

• Integrate access control and video security systems with existing infrastructure, including networking components.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless system integration.

Cable Routing and Management

• Perform cable routing and management for access control and video surveillance systems.
• Ensure neat and organized cable installations while minimizing potential points of failure.

Testing and Quality Assurance

• Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the installation.

Client Training

• Provide training to clients on the operation and basic maintenance of access control and video security systems.
• Address client questions and concerns during and after the installation process.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of all installation activities, including configurations, wiring diagrams, and system settings.
• Generate comprehensive installation reports for internal and client use.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Access Control and Video Security Installation Technician or a similar role.
• Proficient knowledge of access control systems, video security cameras, and associated hardware.
• Familiarity with low voltage wiring and cable management best practices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Basic Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s in electronic engineering technology or equivalent
• Must be able to obtain background clearance
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
• Must reside within a commuting distance from job location
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
