The Video Production Specialist reports to the Multimedia Team Lead and serves as a key visual storyteller for the University. This role will create compelling video content that advances institutional priorities, expands reach and strengthens the Carolina brand. This position researches, plans, captures, edits and publishes platform-specific video content that tells authentic, engaging stories about the University's people, research, teaching and impact. Working collaboratively with colleagues in University Communications and Marketing, this position develops high-impact, quick-turn video content, producing short‑form videos, motion graphics and other digital assets optimized for social media, web and emerging digital platforms. This position will be expected to meet strict editorial deadlines, including producing b‑roll and video interviews for media outlets as well as producing timely content for event coverage. In addition, this position will provide video support for executive communications' social media channels that amplify the Chancellor, senior leaders and other institutional priorities. The Video Production Specialist will be expected to have sound editorial judgement, identify emerging storytelling opportunities and adapt content quickly to real‑time events and conversations while maintaining the University's brand standards and reputation.
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
