CoStar Group is seeking a Video Journalist to produce daily video content for its News and Homes.com brands. Based on-site in Arlington, VA, you will shoot, edit, and publish compelling stories, collaborate with editors and designers, and tailor content for multiple platforms including YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok. Prior newsroom experience is valued.

The role emphasizes fast storytelling, data translation into visuals, and maintaining brand voice across channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field.
• 1–3 years in digital design, social, editorial, news, or marketing.
• Strong portfolio of self-shot and self-edited social videos.
• Experience shooting with modern cameras or mobile devices.
• Proficient in video editing and animation software (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Knowledge of video styles, social trends, and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Produce engaging daily video content for company websites and social platforms.
• Script, conceptualize, shoot, edit, and publish videos end-to-end.
• Turn breaking news into quick, punchy social clips.
• Collaborate with graphics team to strengthen brand presence and SEO.
• Develop SEO‑optimized video content and plan social calendars.
• Coordinate multimedia production to meet tight deadlines.
• Produce long-form interviews and edit short-form videos for socials.
• Translate data and editorial themes into accessible video content.
• Stay ahead of newsroom trends and platform best practices.
• Work with reporters and editors to ensure consistent story visuals.
• Shadow reporters at events and produce on-site video content.
• Contribute to planning social campaigns around major reports and investigations.
