Job summary

Gondola in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a capable video editor to support team operations. You will maintain records, assist management with community-related needs, and become proficient in the Stevahockey video editing program.

The role requires good communication skills, a solid understanding of hockey, and the ability to set up video editing workstations. Previous hockey experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or progress toward degree preferred.
• Hockey experience welcomed but not required.
• Must be able to work with the Stevahockey editing program.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep accurate records for the team and management.
• Assist Stadium Management with community-related needs.
• Be proficient in the Stevahockey video editing program.
• Analyze games and describe break-outs, backchecks, face-offs, etc.
• Report to the coach during intermission.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Set up computers for video editing and maintain relationships with staff.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

May include, but not limited to:

• Keep and maintain effective and accurate records
• Assist Stadium Management with any community related needs of the team
• Be fully efficient in all aspects of the Stevahockey video editing program
• Have the ability to look at the game and define certain aspects i.e. break-out, backcheck, face-off etc.
• Report to the coach during intermission
• Ability to communicate well, both written and orally
• Set computer up for video editing
• Maintain effective relationships with management, league officials, facility representatives, the media, fellow employees, and the general public

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree or working towards completion of degree is preferred
• Hockey experience is greatly appreciated but not required
• Ability to work with the Stevahockey editing program
• Ability to communicate well, both written and orally
• Strong understanding of hockey
