Job Summary

We are seeking a Freelance Video Editor to edit video content for news programs, live coverage, breaking news, and other productions and promotions. The editor will work independently or collaboratively to create visuals and sound that accurately and fairly represent the news, transforming footage into finished products.

Responsibilities

• Create tagged commercials for cross-channel and broadcast use.
• Analyze and develop solutions for editorial, procedural, and operational needs to ensure quality videos for web and broadcast.
• Collaborate with lead editors and design teams to optimize editorial processes.
• Work efficiently within time constraints to meet weekly and monthly advertising and non-advertising requirements.
• Adapt to changing requirements to meet the needs of other teams and tools.
• Create and develop internal and external company communications.
• Work with a team of editors to accomplish team goals effectively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of digital post-production experience, with proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• At least 2 years of experience working in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of digital workflows and file-based delivery.
• Knowledge of frame rates, aspect ratios, and resolutions.
• Ability to read video scopes and audio levels.
• Strong editorial judgment demonstrated through past work.
• Experience editing content for various digital platforms, including non-traditional formats and resolutions.
• Flexible working hours, including evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects is a plus.
