About the Role

Monks is hiring for a Video Editor.

In this role, you will be responsible for editing and assembling video footage to create high-quality and creative content. You will need to possess excellent editing skills and a sharp artistic eye, ensuring that the videos align with client and project requirements. The position requires a keen understanding of audiovisual language and an ability to work collaboratively with production teams.

Responsibilities:

• Use professional video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci) to edit and post-process video footage.
• Edit, trim, adjust colour, add effects, and perform other post-production tasks based on project requirements.
• Have strong analysis skills for audiovisual language.
• Sensitivity to music and sound.
• Work closely with producers, cinematographers, and other team members to coordinate project timelines and deliverables.
• Familiarity with various video formats and codecs, ensuring proper conversion and output.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with team members.

The Essentials:

• At least 5 years of experience in video editing, with proficiency in professional editing software.
• Strong editing skills and a keen artistic eye, with a deep understanding of video structure and pacing.
• Familiarity with various video effects and post-production techniques.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
