Job summary

HireArt is seeking a Data Capture Technician for a leading AI solutions company. This part-time, field-based role collects site data on active construction sites in Texas using reality capture tools and cameras, with a Friday half-day schedule around Turkey, TX.

Ideal candidates have construction, surveying, or civil engineering backgrounds, strong safety discipline, and comfort working outdoors. The role runs for 1 year with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Available on Fridays for a half-day, 5–6 hours in/around Turkey, TX.
• Experience in construction, surveying, civil engineering, or related fields.
• Previous field-based or site-based work experience.
• Technical aptitude or familiarity with field equipment.

Responsibilities

HireArt is helping a leading AI technology company find a Data Capture Technician to support reality capture efforts on active construction sites in Texas.

In this role, you will operate reality capture equipment such as 360-degree cameras and surveying tools to collect detailed site data used for algorithmic and AI-driven analysis. This is a part-time, field-based role requiring one half day per week, 5-6 hours in and around Turkey, TX.

We're looking for candidates who are able to start immediately.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and enjoys hands-on fieldwork. You are comfortable working outdoors on active construction sites and using technology to collect accurate, high-quality data. Candidates with backgrounds in construction, photography, civil engineering, and college students are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Must be available on Fridays to work one half day per week, 5-6 hours in and around Turkey, TX
• Comfort working on active construction sites and in varying outdoor conditions
• A strong work ethic and a dependable, responsible approach to fieldwork
• The ability to walk long distances and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
• Clear communication skills and a strong commitment to safety, including adherence to site-specific and client-specific protocols
• A positive attitude and the ability to work independently to solve problems
• Experience in construction, surveying, civil engineering, or related fields
• Previous field-based or site-based work experience
• Technical aptitude or familiarity with field equipment

Commitment:

This is a part-time, 1-year contract position (with the possibility of extension) staffed via HireArt. It is available to candidates who are local to the Plainview, TX area willing to work in and around Turkey, TX.
