Job summary

Montserrat seeks a Content Creator to collaborate with the Communications Team to produce video content for Montserrat’s social media channels. This role is a behind-the-scenes position and does not require personal social media presence.

Responsibilities include recording campus events, capturing student-life footage, and creatively editing clips for posting. You must provide own video equipment and meet deadlines, typically within 24–48 hours after events.

• Understanding of TikTok and what makes engaging content.
• Access to video equipment (phone/video camera).
• Strong storytelling and communication skills.
• Willingness and motivation to engage with people.

Term: Spring 2027

Status: 5+ hours per week.

Salary: $15/hr

Summary: The Content Creator works with the Communications Team to create video content for the Montserrat social media channels. This role does NOT require you to personally be on social media nor show your likeness on social media. This is a behind-the-scenes role.

Responsibilities

• Recording campus events as requested
• Capturing general student/campus slice-of-life videos
• Creatively editing videos to completion for use in social media
• Uploading content to the communications drive promptly (typically within 24-48 hours of an event)
• Must have your own access to equipment (smartphone or camera)

Requirements

• Understanding of introductory video/photography principles and editing
• Understanding of TikTok and what makes engaging content
• Access to video equipment (phone video is sufficient)
• Strong storytelling and communication skills
• Willingness and motivation to engage with people

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, manual dexterity to use computers and standard phone/video equipment, strength to lift and carry video equipment, supplies and other materials up to 35 lbs; physical ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
