Job summary

Odyssey Painting & Construction is seeking a Fall – Video Content Creation Intern to shoot and edit short- and long-form video for our social channels. You’ll work on-site at residential job locations in the Kansas City area, capture behind-the-scenes footage, and help organize content for posting on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

The ideal student is excited about videography, digital marketing, and storytelling, with a willingness to learn editing basics.

Qualifications

Interest in videography, social media, digital marketing, or content creation.
Comfortable shooting video with a phone or camera.
Good eye for detail and ability to capture clean footage.
Organized and dependable.
Comfortable visiting job sites and interacting professionally with homeowners.
Basic editing knowledge is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Shoot video content on-site at residential job locations.
Capture behind-the-scenes footage, project progress, team activity, and educational content.
Help organize video files and content for editing and posting.
Assist with brainstorming content ideas for social media.
Work with leadership and video editor/social media support team to create useful content.
Identify strong moments, topics, and stories from day-to-day business activity.
Support content creation for short-form and long-form video.
