Job summary

The Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Arlington County and the City of Falls Church is seeking two Victim Witness Program Assistants. This role involves providing administrative support and guidance to victims of crime, including those who are bilingual.

Ideal candidates will have strong organizational and communication skills, along with a high school diploma or GED. Experience in the criminal justice system is preferred. Full-time work hours are Monday through Friday, with some flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience providing client informational support in a criminal justice or court system environment.
• Experience in a restorative justice system is preferred.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to victims of crimes, explaining legal procedures and accompanying them to court.
• Liaison with victims, prosecution, law enforcement, and court officials.
• Perform administrative functions like preparing court dockets and answering phones.
