Job summary

Bexar County is seeking a Victim Services Coordinator for the District Attorney's Office to manage the victim/witness assistance program, ensure victims' rights are met, and oversee grant programs and community education. The role includes supervising staff, coordinating training, and representing the program with various agencies.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice or related field plus two years’ relevant experience and supervisory duties.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social/Behavioral Science or related field with relevant experience.
Two years criminal justice or social service delivery experience with supervisory experience.
Ability to supervise staff and manage program operations with tact and discretion.

Responsibilities

Directs the daily operations of the Victim Assistance Program.
Supervises employees and develops long-range plans for program effectiveness.
Develops and manages grant funded programs, and liaises with agencies and Commissioners Court.
Designs trainings to educate on victims’ rights and services for schools and local partners.
Coordinates victim rights coalition meetings and community awareness events.
Records statistics, develops budget needs, and supports volunteer and intern programs.
