Job summary

Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan invites applications for the position of Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.

This senior role is part of the Provost’s leadership team and guides program reviews, accreditation, and undergraduate education, coordinating with the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, deans, faculty, Student Affairs, Institutional Research, Assessment and Data Analytics, and others to advance quality assurance and university-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate or terminal degree in an academic discipline.
• Minimum of three years administrative experience such as department chair, unit director, program director, or associate dean.
• Proven record of administrative leadership and managerial experience including supervision of staff, problem solving, budgeting and project management.
• Demonstrated evidence of supporting excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
• Commitment to shared governance and academic excellence.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with all members of the university community and external constituencies.
• Experience with program assessment and curricular initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate university accreditations and program reviews.
• Provide leadership for Undergraduate Education, general education, and curriculum.
• Collaborate with deans, faculty, and external bodies on accreditation and strategic initiatives.
