Position Summary
Oversee all Public Entity and appointed broker lead generation activities. Be responsible for revenue growth through new business sales and expanding or maintaining existing revenue. Provide guidance, training, and supervision to assigned Business Development personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the Western Region sales team.
- Create revenue pathways in the Public Entity and related Brokerage markets to generate new business.
- Travel to prospective accounts, existing clients, trade shows, and corporate meetings (approx. 40%).
- Collaborate with the Regional Business Development team to expand TRISTAR’s territory, lines of business, and capabilities.
- Develop rapport with potential clients and industry consultants to enhance revenue opportunities.
- Delegate sales leads and respond to Requests for Proposals from potential clients.
- Present solutions to meet client needs, increasing revenue potential.
- Participate in client implementation meetings in coordination with Sales and Operations teams.
- Work with Sales and Client Services on new client onboarding and service guidelines.
- Support servicing of accounts, troubleshoot issues, and provide consulting to meet client needs.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations as needed.
- Maintain regular contact with clients at various levels.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure service delivery aligns with purchased services.
- Focus on business segment profitability, ensuring EBITDA exceeds 10%.
- Attend trade shows and industry events, managing the related budget.
- Maintain updated information in Salesforce and monitor team input.
- Gather market intelligence through FOIA as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree (preferred), seven (7) years sales experience, and three (3) years of sales management experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, TC 2.0, and Salesforce.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to present technical information effectively.
- Knowledge of Solution Selling and the Third-Party Administration industry.
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Ability to build and maintain trust and relationships.
