Role Summary

As Vice President, Total Rewards, you will lead the strategy, design, and delivery of Sophos's global total rewards programs. You will bring deep rewards expertise and use reliable data, responsible AI, and automation to improve decisions, the employee experience, and how we operate at scale.

What You Will Do
  • Set total rewards strategy: Own and evolve a global total rewards strategy that supports our business goals, keeps us competitive, and meets local requirements across our workforce.
  • Lead executive compensation: Oversee analysis and reviews of executive compensation programs and support the preparation of materials for the Board.
  • Guide equity programs: Partner with the equity team to manage equity programs and ensure they align with our broader compensation framework.
  • Design compensation programs: Lead the design, evaluation, and delivery of base pay, variable pay, equity, and recognition programs, with a clear focus on fairness and market competitiveness.
  • Shape global benefits: Lead the evaluation and management of health, wellness, retirement, and other benefit programs that meet the changing needs of our global workforce.
  • Improve technology and analytics: Advance total rewards technology, analytics, compensation review solutions, and workflow automation in close partnership with HR Operations and HR Systems leaders.
  • Build the team: Lead and develop a global Total Rewards team, strengthening capability across rewards, analytics, and responsible AI.
  • Partner across the business: Build strong working relationships across HR, Finance, Legal, and other teams so our programs reflect business priorities and financial considerations.
What You Will Bring
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, compensation, and benefits, ideally in a complex, global technology company.
  • Strong knowledge of global compensation practices, regulatory requirements, and market trends. Experience with the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and India is preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience managing equity programs, including experience in a private equity environment.
  • A strong track record of designing and delivering total rewards strategies that support business results.
  • The ability to turn strategy into action, manage competing priorities, improve how work gets done, and build constructive relationships across the business.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage different audiences, lead teams, and guide change across the organization.
  • The judgment to move comfortably between strategic leadership and hands‑on work when needed.
