Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Vice President, Software Engineering to lead end-to-end software development in a highly regulated medical device environment. The role will drive governance, scalable development practices and AI-assisted approaches while partnering with leadership to translate technical risk into actionable plans.

Location: Remote – US based candidates only. Compensation: $278,000 – $361,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering leadership experience.
• Experience delivering software as a medical device in regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of FDA software regulations and medical device quality systems.
• Experience leading complex software products from concept to commercialization.

This leader will guide end-to-end software engineering in a highly regulated medical environment, shaping the technical foundation that supports innovative patient-focused solutions. The role will establish strong governance, operating discipline, and scalable development practices that improve velocity, quality, and execution. This individual will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate technical risk into clear action while advancing automation, CI/CD maturity, and AI-assisted development practices.
