Job summary

WuXi AppTec is seeking a global security leader to own the vision, strategy, and standards, with direct responsibility for the US and Europe security programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, risk management, business, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive security experience with 8+ years in senior leadership advising C-suite/board.
• Experience leading security in multi-site, regulated environments; pharma/biotech/healthcare lifecycle is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief security advisor to the CEO and executive team; report on risks and program status.
• Develop and maintain the global security strategy, governance framework, policies and standards.
• Design and operate a global risk assessment framework to identify threats and reduce exposure.
• Build, lead and develop US and Europe security organizations including staffing and design.
• Establish standards for executive protection, investigations, crisis management, physical security, travel safety.
• Define security technology strategy; evaluate and adopt key tools and innovations.
• Own regional security budgets, vendor selection and contract governance; measure ROI.
• Represent the company with government, law enforcement and external stakeholders as needed.

Lead and own the company’s global security vision, strategy, governance and standards, with direct responsibility for security operations in the US and Europe and close collaboration with regional teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the chief security advisor to the CEO and executive team, reporting on security risks, threats and program status.


• Develop and maintain the global security strategy, governance framework, policies and enterprise standards.


• Design and operate a global risk assessment and mitigation framework to identify emerging threats and reduce exposure.


• Build, lead and develop the US and Europe security organizations, covering staffing, org design and capability development.


• Establish enterprise standards and oversight for executive protection, investigations, crisis management, physical security and travel safety.


• Define security technology and infrastructure strategy; evaluate and drive adoption of key security tools and innovations.


• Own regional security budgets, vendor selection and contract governance; prioritize investments and measure ROI.


• Represent the company with government, law enforcement and external stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required (e.g., criminal justice, security management, risk management, business, intelligence); master’s preferred.


• 15+ years of progressive security experience, with at least 8 years in senior security leadership advising C-suite/board.


• Proven experience leading security in multi-site, regulated environments; industry experience in pharma, biotech, healthcare, manufacturing or life sciences preferred.


• Strong cross-regional collaboration skills and experience balancing global governance with regional execution.
