The Role

This is a dynamic, hands-on sales leadership role for a driven leader who excels in fast-paced environments and is ready to engage at every level. This role requires a passion for building—from developing high-performing teams to cultivating global relationships—while fostering organizational collaboration and driving initiatives that fuel business growth.

The Work

  • Collaborate in managing global client relationships, structuring deals, coordinating internal communications, and establishing comprehensive tracking and reporting systems.
  • Assist with structuring, reviewing and approving loans in collaboration with MD of Sales, Loan Officers (LOs) and Relationship Managers (RMs).
  • Assist the sales team in engaging with borrowers to present deal terms and address escalated issues, as needed.
  • Assist with mentoring the Sales team, including Loan Officers (LOs), Relationship Managers (RMs), and Sales Associates (SAs), fostering skills in deal origination and structuring, relationship management, and client engagement.
  • Collaborate in the design and implementation of targeted training programs on topics like sales strategies, customer relationship management and loan structuring.
  • Review pipelines regularly with Loan Officers to ensure efficient deal progression.
  • Collaborate on monthly Sales team meetings, setting agendas to address team objectives, key updates, and the competitive arena.
  • Organize bi-annual Sales Summits focused on innovative and dynamic topics.
  • Resolve escalated internal issues, facilitating communication and efficient solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR to recruit and hire key sales team members, aligning hiring with business needs and culture.
  • Work with the Managing Director of Sales to implement 100-day plans for new Loan Officers, setting clear milestones to drive success.
  • Collaborate in establishing performance metrics for Loan Officers and provide regular, transparent reporting on individual and team performance.
  • Implement effective communication channels to keep the Sales team informed on company goals, priorities, and accomplishments.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned. This will be a highly flexible position working in collaboration with our Managing Director/Sales and others in our growing company.

Your Skills And Experience

  • Proven success and extensive experience within commercial/construction lending (SFR/MFR) roles, or equivalent. Bank and/or Private Money lending experience preferred.
  • Strategic yet tactical mindset with a readiness to tackle challenges directly.
  • Proactive in building solutions that enhance productivity and organizational performance.
  • Strong team leadership, influencing, analytical and communications skills required.
  • Proven track record in enhancing client relationships and excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent written, presentation & communication skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills, able to build partnerships and alliances internally and with external partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

The Pay

  • Salary range starts at $175,000 per year with a generous discretionary bonus.

The Work Environment

  • This role works on-site from Ascent's Encino office, Monday - Thursday (Fridays are work-from-home).
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week; must be available for occasional overtime.
  • Some nights and weekends required.
