BNY Mellon in Lake Mary, Florida seeks a VP Fund/Client Accounting to lead complex fund accounting for assigned clients. You will drive NAV determinations, performance calculations, expense allocations, and reporting with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting and 5–7 years of experience, with Big 4 background preferred. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with clients to resolve accounting issues and implement process improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct accounting services for assigned clients and moderately complex funds, including NAV, fund performance, expenses, and reports.
• Drive service improvements, efficiencies, and validate methodologies; review junior staff work.
• Provide guidance on cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts and transactions.
• Draft client reports on fund performance and address client questions on reports and processes.
• Evaluate GAAP and IFRS rules to assess impact of new regulations on fund accounting practices.

We're seeking a future team member for the role of VP Fund/Client Accounting our team. This role location is Lake Mary, Florida - 4 days (In office expectation).

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Conduct accounting services on behalf of assigned clients and moderately complex funds including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses and preparing reports.
• Perform complex Fund/Client Accounting responsibilities in the areas of driving Service Improvement plans, targeting efficiencies, enhancing processes and specialist review functions. Provide input into methodologies and check the work of more junior team members.
• Provide guidance and review work related to cash and asset reconciliations relating to complex accounts or transactions. Resolve reconciliation of accounts for more complex or atypical transactions and review work of junior team members.
• Draft reports for clients regarding the performance of complex funds and review draft reports completed by more junior staff. Regularly interact with clients in answering questions and resolving issues regarding fund reports and accounting processes.
• Assist in evaluating GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine impact of new regulations on BNY Mellon fund accounting practices.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
• Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.
• No direct reports. Provides guidance to less experienced team members. May have people management responsibilities in some geographies.
