About The Role

PayNearMe is looking for a Vice President of Product Management to lead our Payments & Money Movement portfolio.

This portfolio sits at the center of the PayNearMe platform, spanning payment acceptance and orchestration, risk and compliance, money movement and disbursements, settlement and reconciliation, and the APIs that expose these capabilities to clients and partners.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this leader will oversee the product teams responsible for Payments & Trust, Money Movement and API capabilities.

The mandate is both operational and transformational. This leader will drive execution across the existing portfolio while helping evolve the underlying payments platform to support the next stage of PayNearMe’s growth.

As we scale, these capabilities must become increasingly reusable, configurable and extensible across our existing verticals, new markets and future products without requiring one‑off solutions.

The portfolio also powers critical internal operations across Finance, Accounting, Risk, Compliance and Operations, making strong cross‑functional partnership essential as transaction volume and complexity grow.

Success requires deep payments experience, strong product leadership and demonstrated experience scaling or modernizing complex transaction platforms.

What You’ll Lead

Payments & Orchestration

Capabilities that enable clients and consumers to securely accept and process payments across multiple payment methods, processors and rails, including:

  • Payment capture across card, ACH, digital wallets, cash and emerging rails

  • Smart Switch and payment routing/orchestration

  • Payment performance and optimization

Risk & Compliance

Products that help clients and PayNearMe safely manage payment risk and regulatory requirements, including:

  • Risk decisioning and controls

  • Compliance capabilities

  • Configurable operational and business rules

Money Movement & Disbursements

Capabilities responsible for moving, settling and accounting for funds across the platform, including:

  • Disbursements and funding

  • Clearing and settlement

  • Client and collector reconciliation

  • Billing and pricing capabilities

APIs & Access

APIs and related platform capabilities that allow clients, partners and PayNearMe products to securely integrate with and extend the payments platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the strategy, roadmap and execution of the Payments & Money Movement portfolio.

  • Lead, coach and develop experienced product leaders and their teams.

  • Drive near‑term execution while balancing investments in platform modernization and future growth.

  • Partner closely with Engineering leadership to scale and evolve PayNearMe's transactional platform.

  • Define the future of Smart Switch and payment orchestration across processors, rails and payment methods.

  • Generalize core platform capabilities so they can support existing and future verticals without requiring one‑off solutions.

  • Partner deeply with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Risk and Compliance to ensure the platform supports the operational needs of the business as we scale.

  • Drive product decisions that improve reliability, payment performance, operational efficiency and economics.

  • Bring a commercial perspective to platform strategy, identifying opportunities to expand the value of PayNearMe's payments and money movement capabilities.

  • Partner across Product, Engineering and Revenue teams to translate platform investments into measurable client and business outcomes.

  • Serve as a key member of the Product Leadership Team and help shape PayNearMe's broader product strategy and operating model.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to:

  • Improve execution and accountability across the Payments & Money Movement portfolio.

  • Build and develop a strong product leadership team capable of operating with increasing autonomy.

  • Establish and execute a clear roadmap for scaling and modernizing the transactional platform.

  • Advance Smart Switch as a strategic payment orchestration capability.

  • Improve platform reliability, scalability and operational efficiency.

  • Make core capabilities more reusable across products and verticals, reducing the need for bespoke development as PayNearMe grows.

  • Strengthen the products and systems Finance, Accounting and Operations rely on to manage money movement at scale.

  • Advance our Risk and Compliance products to support clients, protect the platform and enable growth.

  • Enable faster introduction of new payment methods, products, capabilities and verticals.

  • Identify and advance opportunities that improve the commercial value and economics of the payments platform.

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of product management experience, including significant experience in payments, fintech or financial infrastructure.

  • 7+ years of progressive product leadership experience, including responsibility for multiple product teams and senior product leaders.

  • Deep payments experience with a strong understanding of payment processing and money movement across areas such as gateways, acquiring, routing, card and ACH processing, settlement, reconciliation or disbursements.

  • Demonstrated experience scaling, modernizing or transforming a complex, high-volume transaction platform.

  • Experience leading products and teams through significant growth, including increasing transaction volume, expanding platform capabilities, entering new markets or supporting new revenue streams.

  • Strong track record partnering with senior Engineering leaders on technically complex platform investments and transformation efforts.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance execution of a critical existing business with longer‑term platform investment and modernization.

  • Strong commercial and business judgment, with experience connecting product strategy and investment decisions to revenue growth, economics and client value.

  • Experience developing strong product leaders and building teams that operate with increasing accountability and autonomy.

  • Strong executive communication and ability to operate effectively across Product, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Revenue leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-processor or multi-rail payment orchestration.

  • Experience with payment optimization, routing or gateway products.

  • Experience with both pay-in and pay-out / disbursement capabilities.

  • Experience leading products through periods of significant scale or platform modernization.
