Job summary

Archer is seeking a Vice President, Production Services Infrastructure Support in Lake Mary, Florida. You will oversee Oracle database environments, including RAC/ASM/Data Guard and Exadata, while guiding GoldenGate replication to cloud platforms such as Snowflake.

You will mentor DBAs and drive upgrades, DR testing, and automation. You’ll collaborate with application, infra, cloud, and engineering teams to deliver resilient, high-availability database solutions and lead critical incident

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support mission-critical Oracle Database environments with high availability and performance.
• Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Multitenant (CDB/PDB), and Exadata across prod and non-prod.
• Install, configure, administer, and support Oracle GoldenGate replication including cloud to Snowflake.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database and replication issues with SLA adherence.
• Lead database upgrades, patching, migrations, cloning, and modernization.
• Perform performance analysis and tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Monitor, and OEM.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, switchover, failover, and failback.
• Develop automation with Shell, SQL, and PL/SQL to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with app, infra, cloud, and engineering teams to deliver resilient solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior DBAs, and drive operational excellence.

Archer is collaborating with BNY to connect them with exceptional professionals for this role. We're seeking a Vice President, Production Services Infrastructure Support to join our Production Services Infrastructure Support team in Lake Mary, Florida.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Administer and support mission-critical Oracle Database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational stability.
• Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Multitenant (CDB/PDB), and Exadata platforms across production and non-production environments.
• Install, configure, administer, and support Oracle GoldenGate replication solutions, including heterogeneous replication to cloud platforms such as Snowflake.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database and replication issues, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and adherence to SLAs.
• Lead database upgrades, patching, migrations, cloning, and modernization initiatives.
• Perform performance analysis and tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Monitor, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, switchover, failover, and failback activities for business-critical applications.
• Develop automation solutions using Shell scripting, SQL, and PL/SQL to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams to deliver resilient database solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior DBAs, and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c and related technologies, including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and Multitenant architecture.
• Minimum 3+ years of Oracle GoldenGate administration experience, including implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrade activities.
• Demonstrated experience supporting high-volume, mission-critical production systems in a 24x7 environment.
• Strong expertise in database performance tuning, SQL optimization, capacity planning, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with GoldenGate replication to cloud platforms, including Snowflake, is highly desirable.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Azure, and GoldenGate Microservices Architecture is preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripting, and automation best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to participate in on-call support rotations and lead critical incident response activities.
• Oracle certifications (OCP and/or GoldenGate Certification) are preferred.
