Job summary

New Edge Associates a Talent Acquisition Firm is seeking a senior financial services operations leader in the Miami market to oversee branch and field operations, call center functions, regulatory compliance, and process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of operations leadership in banking or credit unions, proven cross-functional leadership, and expertise in regulatory frameworks, budgeting, and technology-enabled transformation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or related field required.
  • MBA or related Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of operations leadership experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of senior management experience within financial services or a credit union.
  • Strong experience overseeing multiple operational functions and teams.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-wide and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of banking/credit union regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with operational analytics, KPIs, and performance management.
  • Experience leading technology implementations and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and resource management experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead high-performing teams.
  • Excellent executive communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced financial institution.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Lead branch and field operations to drive efficiency, growth, and member satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, controls, and best practices across the organization.
  • Oversee operations support and call center functions.
  • Establish and monitor operational KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure operational compliance with BSA, AML, OFAC, Fair Lending, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Lead operational audits, risk assessments, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding operational risk and compliance.
  • Lead technology implementations, automation initiatives, and operational transformation projects.
  • Partner with IT and other departments to improve systems, workflows, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor operational performance and provide reporting and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, Lending, and other departments to align operational priorities with organizational goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop operations managers and employees.
  • Implement performance management initiatives and promote accountability across operations.
  • Represent Operations in executive and Board meetings as required.
  • Support strategic initiatives focused on sustainable growth, efficiency, and member experience.
