Our client, a forward-thinking multi-site automation and manufacturing company, is seeking a dynamic Vice President (VP), Operations to lead enterprise-wide operational excellence. This strategic leader will oversee engineering, manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement, project management, and quality, reporting directly to the CEO.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on scaling operational effectiveness, boosting performance metrics, and implementing smart, efficient systems across diverse manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, flat organizational structure where cross-functional collaboration and hands-on leadership are the norm.
Projects You’ll Work On
- Driving strategic planning and execution for manufacturing operations and end-to-end supply chain management
- Leading transformation initiatives in production processes, procurement strategy, and operational cost-efficiency
- Championing a culture rooted in safety, lean principles, and continuous improvement
- Building succession plans and mentoring next-generation operational leaders
- Overseeing multimillion-dollar capital investment projects and functional budget planning
- Partnering with executive leadership to define a forward-looking operational roadmap aligned with long-term business growth
What Experience You Should Bring
- 10–15 years of progressive senior leadership experience in operations, particularly in Robotics, automation, electronics or contract manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred); MBA strongly preferred
- A deep understanding of lean manufacturing, process optimization, and performance benchmarking
- Proven ability to lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams in high-growth manufacturing environments
- Experience developing and executing annual operating plans that tie directly to measurable business objectives
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, procurement, and quality systems
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
- A natural coach and mentor, focused on developing a high-performing, accountable team
- Ability to lead by example with high visibility and walk-the-floor leadership style
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all operational activities across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and quality assurance
- Translate high-level strategic goals into operational action plans, leveraging data and analytics to drive improvements
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships that align with procurement and cost-efficiency goals
- Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress toward operational excellence
- Lead capital investment initiatives, ensuring optimal resource utilization and alignment with business objectives
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to articulate and execute the organization's vision
