Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a Vice President of Sales for Multifamily in a remote role. You will own the largest multi-location deals from the first meeting to the signed contract, coordinating with ownership and operators across portfolios.

This is an individual contributor seat with no direct reports; you close high-stakes deals spanning months and locations, expanding services after signings. You’ll be supported by inbound and a sales development team to fill your calendar.

Qualifications

• Proven track record closing $1M+ annually on large, multi-location accounts.
• Experience selling to multifamily groups or similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision-makers.
• Focus on closing over managing people.

Responsibilities

• Own full cycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close (3–12 months).
• Engage with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders at the table.
• Expand scope: add locations and services after signing.
• Collaborate with strategists to build proposals for key deals.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency running websites, SEO and paid media for multifamily owners and property management groups running large portfolios. As Vice President of Sales for Multifamily, you own our largest multi-location multifamily deals, from the first meeting with ownership to the signed contract. One win covers many locations, so each deal is large, multi-stakeholder and worth the work. Our sales development team and inbound put qualified meetings with these groups on your calendar, so your time goes to closing.

The Seat

• $2M annual quota, carried on a small number of large accounts.
• Leads fed to you: meetings with multifamily owners and property management groups running large portfolios, booked by our sales development team or inbound.
• No management. No team to build, hire or run.
• Strategic accounts: multifamily portfolios with many locations, where one signed deal covers the whole group and opens the next.

What You Will Own

• The full cycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close, over 3 to 12 months.
• Deals with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders all at the table.
• Expansion: more locations and more services once a group signs.
• Proposals built with our strategists and leadership for the deals that matter most.

What You Bring

• A record of closing $1M+ a year on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Selling into multifamily groups, or marketing and agency services to similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative cycles with several decision makers. If your background is high-volume, single-location or one-call transactional sales, this is a different job.
• You would rather close business than manage people.
