We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Sales to lead sales strategy, operations, and growth initiatives in the furniture sector, focusing on large retail chain partnerships. This executive role requires a high-performing leader with a proven track record in B2B sales management, team leadership, and client development within a dynamic and competitive market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving top-line revenue, leading a results-oriented sales team, and fostering long-term customer relationships that support strategic growth.

Position Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement national sales strategies to expand market share and maximize profitability in the furniture retail sector.
  • Align sales plans with corporate goals, adjusting to market conditions and emerging opportunities.
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team, ensuring accountability, motivation, and achievement of sales targets.
  • Set measurable goals and foster a collaborative culture that drives performance and innovation.
Key Account Development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier retail clients to ensure continued partnership and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as a strategic partner, offering tailored solutions and insights aligned with client business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with marketing to develop compelling sales promotions and brand-building initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product and finance teams to shape pricing and product positioning strategies.
Performance Oversight & Reporting
  • Track sales metrics, analyze results, and deliver regular performance updates to executive leadership.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine sales approaches and improve forecasting accuracy.
Budget & Resource Management
  • Oversee the sales department budget, ensuring strategic investment in people, tools, and initiatives that drive results.
Travel & Client Engagement
  • Travel as needed to meet with clients, support regional sales leaders, and build business development opportunities.
Prerequisites
  • Minimum of 8 years in progressive sales roles, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive B2B sales leadership capacity.
  • Deep experience in the furniture industry or related consumer products sectors.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue, manage large retail accounts, and lead national sales initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office; data-driven decision-making mindset.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Professional certifications in sales strategy or leadership are a plus.
